Liv's 1st Birthday

Our little girl turned one last Saturday!! I know every single parent in the world says this, but it is so true, the first year goes by way too fast. In just a blink of an eye the newborn stage was over, and now we are looking ahead to the toddler years. This is even more of a reminder just to try to enjoy each and every day while she is still a baby. e had just gotten to Kelowna, so we decided against a big party. Instead, we had both sets of parents come for a visit. We spent the day spoiling Liv with gifts. We ended up giving her one to open around every hour or so to keep her entertained throughout the day, which also gave her time to play with each toy before moving on to the next. We then just had a family bbq followed by some cake!

e wanted to make sure to get some good family/birthday photos with our favorite photographer, Marie before we left Montreal. So we threw Liv a little mini birthday party a few days early. 

This was perfect timing for a birthday because we didn't have very many toys at our Kelowna home.  Carey and I got her a few B toys, from the family she got a teepee that she loves to play in. She got some new clothes, and aunty got her a toy she can push and walk behind...which seems to be her favorite!
