Getting Summer Ready
Last week, I posted a blog about Getting Your Littles Summer Ready, but I wanted to make sure us ladies were also ready for the summer as well! So, I have found save and splurge options for my favorite summer pieces so that you can choose whether to treat yourself, or save a little money and still get the look. You and your kids can be ready for a summer by the pool or at the lake!
Print Bathing Suit - I have been seeing animal printed bathing suits constantly throughout this year and didn’t understand the hype until I finally got one myself. Then I realized, they are just so flattering! The spots and prints really help hide any unflattering angles of your body.
I got the Infamous suit for our trip to Jamaica earlier this year and love it! They also have mini ones, so the kiddos can match mom (or dad, yes they have mens). They are high quality suits and we love ours, but they are a little expensive. So, in a hunt to find a cheaper alternative, I came across the Aerie suit - which I love! It has great coverage, but will still leave you feeling young and cute!

**In the Infamous suit I ordered a small and it fit great. The Aerie suit I ordered in a medium to fit the bump, but normally a small would be my size.
Swimsuit Cover - I have the both of these and they are both great, but the splurge is my favorite. I love the light weight material, the ability to tie it and it’s short enough that I can rock it as a shirt with shorts if I wanted. Wanting to find a cheaper option, I came across the ‘save’ one on amazon and ended up loving it as well! This was what I was wearing in my baby announcement photo, all my friends who were swimming with us that day kept saying how much they loved the cover up! It is a great option if you want to save a few dollars.

Sunglass Chain - I didn’t put a splurge option on this one, because there are SO many options and I feel like this is such a trendy ‘fun for a summer or a vacation’ piece, but not something you need to be long lasting. So, it’s pretty easy to find a cute one under $20. I love this one (5) I got from Amazon.
Sunglasses - I have shared this one before, but they are my go to glasses this summer and I wanted to share them again. I have both of these, obviously the RayBans are better quality but the dupes from Amazon look almost identical! I actually see myself using the dupes when I am by the pool - just in case they happen to fall off the sunglass chain! Then I can just throw them to the side of the pool without stressing.

Sunhat - A good quality sun hat is hard to find in a “save” option - I don’t know why it is like this with hats. I find it super annoying, but that is just what I have found. There are some cute save options, but to get everything I want in a sun hat it seems like I would have to spend at least $200. So for me, I have one sun hat that I splurged on and I love, but then I have a few “save” ones that I use more on the daily, while hanging out by the pool.

Sandals - This style sandal became popular quite a few years ago with Hermes design and dupes started showing up in every color and style (thank goodness, I am not about to drop $800 on slides!) So, I grabbed these Steve Madden ones a couple of years ago and they are still my go-to sandals every summer ( I have them in black, white and tan). I also added the Sam Eldemen ones as a splurge, because those actually look closer to the Hermes ones.

I highly recommend all of these products and will be getting a lot of use out of them this summer while we are camping in our new RV (more about that on my Instagram!) Let me know which piece (or three!) you purchased and whether you splurged or saved on this great summer look!
Much Love,
