RV Before & After: The Big Interior Reveal

rv_photo.jpg

I can’t believe I am finally to the point where I get to reveal the RV!!! The entire process took about 7 weeks, but we were set back waiting on a couple of deliveries, otherwise I think it would have been doable in about 4 weeks (4 weeks working on it at least a few hours a day). There is a lot (and I mean A LOT) that goes in to these renovations, so today I am sharing the before and after. In the following weeks I will take you room by room explaining exactly what we did, how we troubleshooted and details on all the pretty things, but for now...

HERE IS THE TOMCAT!

In the next couple weeks I will go through room by room giving all the details, but I am going to share the few things that really made the most dramatic change in the RV. First, painting the walls and cabinets! We went with Sherwin-Williams, but had them match Benjamin Moore’s ‘Simply White’. The flooring was a HUGE game changer. The moment they went in it started looking like a home. After a lot of research, we went with Vinyl Planks from 1867 Floors (a company right out of Montreal!) in the color Evolution Magma Nevado and I am so happy with them! Tic Tak Tile (bought from Amazon) was used to really transform the kitchen and the bathroom. My mom made the curtains - just getting those heavy coverings off the wall seemed to open up the space so much. The easiest change was the adding some luxury bedding. Carey and I are all about a comfortable bed, so we didn’t skimp and went with White Terry sheets and duvet cover. We have these in our home in Montreal and they are a dream to sleep in.

It feels so good to share what we have done with the interior, but we are still far from finished with this project. We are now tackling the exterior. We were trying to wait out the heat before tackling that, but the time has come. It is probably the part I am least excited about, but the part that needs the most love. So I will be spending a lot of time, once again, on YouTube trying to figure out the best way to go about it. Follow along on my Instagram stories and if you ever miss anything you can find all the details under RV Reno in my highlights.

You can also check out my RV Renovation Update, which is a midway point blog post that shows our progress along the way. Or head over to Instagram and check out my RV Renovation highlight.

Much Love,
