Our Favorite Winter Gear

If you follow me on Instagram, then you have seen me and my oldest, Liv, hitting the slopes! Liv is just learning to ski, and I am (what feels like) just learning to snowboard, haha. I was very big into snowboarding in high school and college, but it has been a good decade since I was in my boarding prime. So, there is a little bit of a learning curve getting back at it, but for the most part it felt like riding a bike!

A lot of you wanted to know about our snow gear, so thought I would put a post together with a roundup of what we love. Bonus - a lot of it is going on sale right now! While this winter will be over soon, I love to buy snowsuits and other winter gear ahead of time while they’re on sale.

I’ve gotten so many questions about Liv’s one piece snow suit and I have to say, we LOVE a one piece for the kids. For Liv, we get a one piece for playing outside and skiing, but then we also buy her a two piece for school so that she’s not forced to wear both the jacket and pants if it’s not a particularly cold day. One more thing to note: if you know me, you know I avoid color at all costs, except for when it comes to my kids’ outdoor gear. I want to be able to spot them easily at the park or on the ski hill, so for snowsuits - the brighter the better!

When they are small enough where I don’t necessarily need the bright colors then I love this Mini a Ture brand! They are a little pricey (on sale now!), but such great quality. I was able to hand down Liv’s old one to Millie and even Lincoln could have used it, but it was not his color! So we got him this one.
