Our Family’s Top 8 Quarantine Christmas Activities
The holidays look really different for most of us this year. I have to admit, I am finding it harder to get in the Christmas spirit this year, but we are still doing everything we can to make it special for the girls. It seems to be the simple things we can do at home that are the most special, anyway. So, I put together a list of our favorite Christmas activities that are 2020 appropriate.
Holiday Light Drive with Hot Chocolate
The girls love driving around town looking at all the lights.Go Caroling
Yes, I know this sounds old school and if you are like me, then you can’t hold a note to save your life, but if you can’t be with your friends and loved ones think about how fun it would be to show up outside their house singing Christmas tunes! (a travel mug full of wine isn’t a bad idea it you need a little liquid courage!)Make Ice Lanterns
So cool and such a fun way to mix up your outdoor holiday decor! Follow these steps here.Indoor Snowball Fight
You can use these snowballs just about anywhere. We have fun with these year after year!Setup a cute Hot Chocolate Bar or make Hot Chocolate Bombs
We did both this year!Make Ornaments
….and they don’t have to be cheesy ones for the kids to still have fun! Liv and I mixed paint with baking powder to make ceramic looking ordainments. We followed these steps.Holiday Tie-Dye
This was such a hit this summer, why not throw in some green and red and bring it back for the holidays? Here is a fun tie-dye snowman the kids would love.Lastly don’t over look the basics like decorating cookies, family game night or even just pulling out the sleeping bags and having a movie night in the living room!
I’d love to know what your family does at Christmastime, especially this year! Leave them in the comments below to give everyone more holiday ideas.
Much Love,
