Chia Seed Donut Recipe
These Chia Seed Donuts are a staple in our house! The hubby loves them, the kids love them and I love how easy they are to make! Not to mention the fact that they are pretty healthy! So today, I am sharing one of our favorite recipes with you.
ingredients
1 1/2cups gluten-free oat flour
1 cup chia seeds
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 ⁄2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 ⁄2 - 2/3 cup pure maple syrup (when Millie was a baby I started adding just 1/2 cup of maple syrup instead of the 2/3 cup and barely noticed a difference. It was nice to decrease the amount of sweetener, even if just by a little.)
2 ⁄3 cup almond milk (can use any milk)
2 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
Directions
**This recipe makes 12 donuts
Preheat oven to 300°F and grease the donut pan - this one from Amazon works great!
Place the oat flour, chia seeds, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a medium size bowl and stir. Then add the maple syrup, milk, and vanilla. Mix well. It will be pretty runny - this is normal.
Bake the doughnuts for 22 to 26 minutes, until firm to the touch. A toothpick inserted into a doughnut should come out clean.
Let them cool off and enjoy a treat! Make sure to let me know how much you and your family love this recipe!
Much Love,
