Our Christmas Gift Hits

Well it has been a couple weeks since Christmas and now it’s easy to see what items were duds and which ones were hits. So, I wanted to share our families favorites in case you’re interested for your next gift giving opportunity!

Kids

1. Sewing Machine
Our oldest wanted a sewing machine so bad, but we didn’t think she was ready for the real deal. So, after a ton of research, we ended up choosing this one. It had good reviews, but just about everyone complained about the lack of special fabric it came with and that you are not able to order refills. I went ahead and ordered plain old felt, praying that it would work ..and it did! So, if you are purchasing this I would definitely recommend purchasing additional felt so your little one can work on more projects.

2. Polyester Felt Swatches

3. Where the Side Walk Ends
This book was a favorite of mine growing up, but I had completely forgotten about it until I stumbled over it while online shopping. I grabbed the book for the girls for Christmas and they have been absolutely loving the poems! It’s so fun for me to read some of my old favorites with them.

4. Osmo Kit
This was actually a birthday gift for Millie, but I had so many questions about it after posting on Instagram. I wanted to link it here for you guys, in case you’re interested! It is an educational game that can be played with an iPad, but has accessories to use, so your not actually necessarily playing on the iPad. Our kids love it and is perfect for kids starting around age 3.

5. Kids Knife Set
My girlfriend told me about these. The girls love to help us in the kitchen, so I grabbed them a set for their stockings. It’s so nice that they can be a part of the cooking and prepping without us having to be monitoring them constantly.

Adults

6. Chef Knife
Carey has been on a big cooking kick (hallelujah!), but like any new chef he has fallen down the rabbit hole of kitchen gadgets and more specifically, knives. We got him some Kori Artisan knives a friend of ours had recommended and holy smokes does having nice knives make a world of difference! House of Knives is now one of Carey’s favorite stores, haha!

7. Knife Block
I also wanted to link the magnetic knife block we got, which we both love!

8. Silk Pillowcase
I got us both new silk pillowcases. If you haven’t made the switch to these, you definitely should! There are quite a few on the market and I have tried a lot of them, but I tend to always go back to the Slip ones. Silk fibers are significantly less absorbent than many other fibers, so they can help keep your skin’s moisture locked in and expensive face and hair products where they belong - on your face and hair! Slipsilk helps to reduce friction, allowing your skin to glide along the pillow while reducing extra pressure on creased skin. It can also help reduce friction on hair throughout the night, preventing pulling, tangling, creasing and damage, so you can wake up in the morning without bed head.

9. Fabric Shaver
This is not just any fabric shaver, but the prettiest fabric shaver you have ever seen! I’ve been meaning to get one of these for years and I finally grabbed this one for a stocking stuffer. There are a few options that are a little less expensive, but you know me, if there is a prettier option you know I’m going to go in that direction! I grabbed it for my Lululemon pants that get balled up fabric between the thighs, but I have been using it on everything including our couch!

10. Skins Clinique Face Cream
Another go to for stocking stuffers is always face product! I started bringing Carey home products every now and then from Skins Clinque where I get all my face and body treatments done. I got him so hooked on it, that he now asks me to bring him home goodies whenever I go! So, I got his favorite face cream for his stocking and then a few items from their new NUORI line.

These are the gifts my family has been loving since unwrapping them on Christmas morning. I hope it inspires you a little bit for next Christmas, or birthdays in between!

Much Love,
